You usually either love them or hate them. I, for one, always hated them. I liked cabbage, broccoli, peas, and other veggies many people don’t like, but those miniature cabbage (like bitter brussel sprouts) were not on my list of enjoyable foods. That is, until I saw someone make them on TV and challenge viewers to try them even if they hate them. I’m always up for a challenge, but I didn’t write down the receipe. So I did what I usually do when I cook; I winged it. And to my surprise, I loved them! So I will attempt to create a recipe to share: 1 bag of fresh brussel sprouts 5 pieces bacon ½ sweet onion First, cut up the bacon and onion into small pieces and cook them together. Don’t drain the little bit of grease you have. Next, cut the ends off of the sprouts and slice them into small pieces (4-5 slices each). Then, place the sprouts into the pan with bacon and onion pieces;stir well. Add ½ cup of water to the mixture. Place the lid on the pan and let it cook until it is soft. Finally, add salt and pepper for taste. ENJOY!
