The most wonderful time of the year is almost here! Are you ready? If you are like most people, the holidays mean great food, family and celebrations. Along with all the joy the holidays bring, it can also bring financial strain and worry if you are not prepared.

If you are anything like me, you love to spoil your family and friends with gifts. One way to be able to do that and not break the bank is to start a Christmas Club account. I have one and love it! All year long, I tuck money away and when it comes time to shop I am ready to go.

A tip of advice would be to save $10-$20 each paycheck if possible. Before you know it, you are looking at a few hundred bucks to go shopping with. Another way to save money on holiday gifts is to find a store that has a group of people doing the wrapping. Most of the time they are taking donations, so this will save you on paper, bows, tape etc.

This time of year can get very hectic, so start early!
