In order to deter counterfeiting, the U.S. government has once again redesigned our $100 bill.   The government issued these bills on October 8th and many areas are already seeing them in use.  The new bills have two brand new security features, incorporated with existing security features, to assist with authenticating the new bills and to combat printing of counterfeit bills.

Detailed descriptions and images of the new bills are featured on the government’s website www.newmoney.gov.  If you would like an in-depth view at the new security features you can explore the bill virtually at http://www.newmoney.gov/newmoney/flash/interactive100/index.html.
