After a lot of hard work and with much anticipation, the remodel of the ELGA Davison branch was revealed on Monday, April 10th.  One new improvement that you may have noticed was the switch from traditional ATM machines to four new Teller Machines.  There are two new Teller Machines in the lobby and two in the drive-thru.

What is a Teller Machine, you ask? Teller Machines are similar to ATMs, but with a remote teller available via video chat to assist you in completing your transaction.  You can deposit checks, make transfers, and make loan and VISA payments with the teller.  If you don’t need to see a teller you simply insert your card and use it as a traditional ATM.

Four new job positions were created with the addition of these new Teller Machines. These four new positions are the remote tellers. They are the smiling, friendly, and yes, familiar faces behind the Teller Machine screens that are ready to assist you.

Kassandra M. (front, left)

Kassandra has been working at ELGA for nearly four years, starting in the Fall of 2013. During this time she has worked at the Flushing branch and both Davison branches.   When asked what her favorite thing was about working at ELGA and our members, Kassandra easily replied, “It’s the people! Our ELGA associates and our members are like one big family!”

Sarah A. (right)

Sarah originally started working at ELGA in 2002. During the past 15 years Sarah has worked in the Burton, Lapeer and Davison branches.  When asked what her favorite thing was about working at ELGA and our members, Sarah quickly answered with, “The sense of family.  I have made friends not only with coworkers, but with members as well.  The best is when those friends turn into family.”

Candice S. (middle, left)

Candice has been working at ELGA for nearly two years, starting in the Spring of 2015. Since then she has been a full-time teller at the Flint branch before coming to the Davison branch.  When asked what her favorite thing was about working at ELGA and our members, Candice replied, “I have worked in customer service for 20 years, and I adore getting to know people.  You never know who you will meet, and because my personal philosophy aligns with ELGA’s philosophy of ‘People helping people,’ I always strive to have a positive and lasting effect on everyone I encounter.  The volunteer work we do in the community is so rewarding and I couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. My only regret is that I did not apply to work here sooner.”

Amanda E. (back, left)

Amanda has also been working at ELGA for nearly two years, and started in the late Spring of 2015. She has worked at the Flint and Fenton branches before coming to the Davison branch.  When asked what her favorite thing was about working at ELGA and our members, Amanda said, “I love how much we get to interact with our members and how involved we get to be in all of the communities that we serve in.  ELGA’s culture makes it easy to be passionate about the things you do and to create lifelong relationships with our members.  That’s all I could ever ask for!”
