Flint Kids Are Strong!

I’ve been a member of the Greater Flint Health Coalition (GFHC) Board of Directors for nearly two years. Part of the GFHC mission is to improve the health status of our residents. As you can probably imagine, a primary focus of the coalition during the past two years has been toward the Flint Water Crisis. Recently the “Flint Kids Are” flier and webpage was created by Flint Cares for distribution throughout the community.  The flier and webpage contains information about health, nutrition, and education services that could benefit a number of residents as they deal with the direct effects of the water crisis. GFHC Board Members are distributing these fliers in their places of business, and sharing links to the webpage, in an ongoing effort to educate residents about resources that are available to them.  Stop into one of our ELGA Burton, Flint, and Flushing branches to pick up a flier or visit the Flint Cares website for valuable information.

In short, Flint Kids are strong, smart, healthy, creative and capable of achieving anything that they set their minds to.
