Saturday, July 13 was a beautiful day for Fenton Adopt-A-Pet’s annual picnic fundraiser. Funds raised are used to provide food and shelter for the animals, helping to pay for supplies and utility bills for the Fenton facility. It also assists with veterinary care and treatment for dogs and cats who have medical needs.

Activities were abundant with a silent auction, euchre tournament, henna tattoos, giant jenga, and corn hole. Every hour volunteers offered tours of the Adopt-A-Pet facility. There was live music, a bounce house, beer tent for the adults, and lots of delicious food! They also had ice cream from Uncle Ray’s! The best part, though, was being able to interact with all the sweet animals who were up for adoption.

We witnessed three dogs get adopted that day, but I’m sure there were so many more. One of our very own employees took home a new addition to her family. She said their Golden Retriever thinks he got an early Christmas present! There were so many happy families who fell in love with their new fur babies on Saturday.

Adopt-A-Pet staff told us that it was one of their biggest turn-outs ever. On Sunday, their Facebook page announced that the event raised $8,000 – very close to their $10,000 goal! We are so happy to have helped their cause and all those wonderful cats and dogs find their forever homes.
