Good Times in Goodrich

Good Times in Goodrich

ELGA Credit Union had the honor of participating in their first experience at Good Times in Goodrich on Saturday, August 5th. It was amazing to watch the town of Goodrich really come alive. We had incredible weather, and overall, the day went perfectly.

In the vendor area they had booths set up by several local businesses, such as cinnamon donuts made by Porters Orchard or the fresh corn on the cob from Weil’s Farm. Of course, ELGA Associates were on hand as well.

The Good Times event draws in quite a crowd.  Not only do they have a vendor area, but they have a plethora of other family fun activities.  These activities include a parade, Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show, duck races, pie eating contest, and live music all day by local artists. They also had a Kid Zone put on by Valley Tent Rental in Goodrich.  The Kid Zone contained several inflatable jump houses and slides, face painting, and a putt-putt course.  Clearly the Kid Zone was the hit of the day with children.

Lastly, there was also an area that focused on an incredible movement that is powering through the Goodrich community called Goodrich Rocks. Goodrich Rocks is where children are encouraged to paint rocks and leave them in random areas in town to brighten someone’s day.  As you can see, this event truly had a little bit of something for everyone.

The theme of the day really seemed to be family and community.  With ELGA Credit Union opening its newest branch in Goodrich on August 14th, this festival really resonated with us just how much the Goodrich community and ELGA are a perfect match. We look forward to participating in this festival, and other events, in the future.
